Genetic ID Inc. was founded in 1996 in Fairfield, (Iowa, USA) as one of the first commercial laboratories for GMO analysis worldwide. Additional laboratories opened soon afterwards in Japan and Brazil. Genetic ID (Europe) AG was founded in 2001 and is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.
Genetic ID runs a global laboratory network and licensee programme - the Global Laboratory Alliance.
Since its beginning Genetic ID has been involved with food and feed testing and remains an international market leader in GMO analysis.
