Since 1999 Cert ID, a sister company of Genetic ID, has offered an internationally acknowledged Non-GMO certification programme – the first such programme in the world. With its internationally accepted standards, Cert ID certification continues to prove an efficient and practical way of ensuring Non-GMO status.
Cert ID provides two standards:
- CERT ID Non-GMO standard (0.1 % maximum accidental or technically unavoidable GMO contamination)
- CERT ID EU standard (0.9% maximum accidental or technically unavoidable GMO contamination).
Both standards comply with EU regulation (EC) 1830/2003 regarding the traceability and identification of food and animal feed from genetically modified organisms.
